One of the most exciting special events held during the West Virginia State Water Festival, this race is one of the annual fund-raising events for the Campbell-Flannagan-Murrell House Museum. The Grand Prize is $500 or 10% of the profit, whichever is greater, along with numerous wonderful prizes awarded each year. The cost to sponsor a duck is $5 each or five for $20.

Summers County Memorial building , kicks off our yearly
fund-raising events. Having good food , fellowship and a
old fashion cake walk or two. Tickets $5.00
Held Labor Day weekend, this annual event, jointly sponsored with the state, county and the City of Hinton, is a two day music festival featuring Grassroots Appalachian music in celebration of our river and railroad culture. Jug Band, Blues, Roots and Traditional musicians from around the world join us to showcase the influence Appalachian music has had on the world.
